One Donation, Twice the Impact
We are excited to announce that the Malta Environment Foundation (MEF) is running a Green Match Fund Campaign in partnership with The Big Give to raise more funds for grassroot nature restoration projects in Malta!
From Tuesday 22nd April 12:00 until Tuesday 29th April 12:00, every £1 donated to the MEF via the Big Give website will be matched – meaning you can DOUBLE your impact for nature!
Our target is to raise £8,000 through online donations during this 1 week campaign, in order to access our full match fund pot of £8,000 – to raise a total of £16,000 for local nature restoration projects in Malta.
Every contribution during our 2025 Green Match Fund will go directly toward expanding our grant budget, enabling us to support even more vital environmental projects across Malta.
Projects MEF has supported so far which are delivering vital impact for nature and communities in Malta:
- reducing marine pollution 🌊
- biodiversity conservation 🦈
- native plant species propagation 🌳
- enforcing environmental law 📣
- creating renewable energy communities 🌞
- supported nature education 💚
- encouraging sustainable transport 🚲
- increasing awareness of protected areas 🌍

A donation to MEF enables you to pool funds with like-minded donors to increase your impact and make a positive difference to nature on your doorstep.
